site was used for textile milling, light industry, and commercial
operations until it was abandoned in
1999 for safety code violations. Assessments
indicate the presence of
pesticides and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
in the site's soil. The town has
rezoned the property to
allow for the development of 100 units of senior housing to
accommodate
its aging.
This property is
guarded better than most active military bases and the local officers
will draw their
